Every home tells a story.

Based in Rome, Italy, Arlene Gibbs founded Arlene Gibbs Décor in 2012 shortly after completing an internship for one of Italy’s top interior/furniture designers.

She worked for fourteen years in Hollywood as a film executive/producer and a screenwriter.

Arlene wrote the novel, The Rebirth Of Mrs. Tracey Higgins and co-wrote, with Elizabeth Hunter,  the hit film Jumping The Broom which was was released in May 2011.

Her popular former blog, nyc/caribbeanragazza, may be found here.

Arlene was born in New York City, raised in Verona, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Syracuse University.

She is currently working on projects in Anguilla – British West Indies, Rome, and Tuscany.

  4. Wow! Longtime visitor to nyc/caribbean ragazza but it’s been a while. Congratulations on living the dream! Inspiring! I’m in my 40s, at a crossroads, figuring it out. After living in Rome in college, I thought I’d move back one day but… life happened. Visited St. Martin this past Christmas and vowed to live the friendly island life ASAP. Only time will tell. But I’m starting French lessons this week. :)
