I know this is off topic but I saw a HHI show whereby a Scottish artist bought a house in southern Italy for $15,000 recently. It wasn’t in the mountains or by the ocean but east of Naples. But still, $14,000. Hope your blood orange sorbetto was good! I want to try the watermelon sorbettos when I get the chance.
I saw that one too. I couldn’t believe things were so inexpensive, but there was a lot of work to be done, plus the earthquake risk! But still, for $14,000 I’d take my chances.
There are still bargains in parts of Southern Italy. And now is actually a great time to buy even in very popular places like Tuscany and Umbria. Sigh. I cannot take advantage of the buyers market at this moment, but hope to in the future.
It’s so hot here I don’t even want to go outside to get the gelato. I hear the heatwave will finally break on Monday. Grazio Dio!!

I would have to see the property. It sounds way too good to be true.
Oops, I mean granitas.
