Based in Rome, Italy, Arlene Gibbs Décor is the eponymous interiors firm of Arlene Gibbs, a successful decorator and writer well recognized for her point of view on style.

Arlene believes that every room of a home is meant to be lived in, without sacrificing style for comfort.  Her distinctive design sensibility is strongly influenced by her Caribbean upbringing, film background, life in Italy, and natural instinct for color, pattern, and form. Whether classic elegance for a high-level foreign diplomat, chic comfort for a busy Hollywood film producer, or a charming terrace for a very social Italian executive, Arlene creates spaces that speak to her clients’ wants and needs.

Born in New York City, Arlene earned her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and lives in Rome, Italy.  She is the co-writer of the films Jumping the Broom and Caribbean Summer.

Arlene is currently working on interior design projects in Anguilla – British West Indies, Rome, and Tuscany.
